Traveling for Healthcare
During my time at University of Richmond, I was able to complete the requirements for a degree in Healthcare Studies.
I didn't expect to become so fascinated with how different health care systems attempt to address the needs of their citizens.

The Burhans Civic Fellowship granted me the opportunity to travel to Bolivia. I researched how they managed chronic disease.

I also traveled to Sweden to attend the University of Uppsala for one semester. In classes, I studied the intersection between geography and healthcare. My time here also contributed to my thesis comparing the United States prison system to the Swedish prison system.
